JSSUS SOCIETY

Five young post-graduate friends brimming with zeal to serve the nation decided to start an Inter College in a remote area lacking such Institution. McCluskieganj which has a number of secondary schools but no Intermediate College was ideally suited but was highly Maoist infested. Undeterred, the five friends started the College in a hired old house of three rooms. On 20 May 2012, McCluskieganj Inter College had its first Class under a Mango Tree with 30 students.

 

Realizing the need for an NGO as a ”Parent Body” to oversee setting up more Educational institutions in other remote areas of Jharkhand and muster required funds and necessary guidance of experts, Jharkhand Siksha and Samajik Utthan Society [JSSUS} was formed. Colonel A.R.Sinha (Retd.) a veteran was sufficiently impressed seeing the dedication of five friends to join JSSUS. JSSUS was register as NGO on 14th Feb 2014.
